Alan Huggett, VP, honorary Irishman at large.

Mr. Alan Huggett honorary Irishman is currently at large in the southern hemisphere. He is drinking pints of Arthur with Tasmanian devils, downing half-pints by the kegful with Ned Kelly’s and working his way (in drinking terms), schulling Guinness across Australia.

He sent us the following photos with all of the new Guinness Monday members:

Keep tuned in, as I expect to get another tonne of photos from VP Huggett soon.

Keep drinking the Guinness Alan. And to all the new members: welcome into the most luxurious, exclusive club in the world. So exclusive in fact that we turn away people.

Arthur Guinness 250th Celebration photos

The first photo is just plopped into the e-mail inbox at Guinness Monday HeadQuarters.

This young man, maybe be arrested for underage drinking, but it’ll be a great story. This is my nephew Tom Joseph Egan, of Botanic Avenue, Dublin 9. He is enjoying a nice pint of Guinness with his mother, my sister Áine at the infamous Grave Diggers Pub, Dublin 9.

More photos will be published as they arrive.

UPDATE:

Sent in by John Ronan from Ireland who was in Chicago on business.

He writes:
“Location: Elk Grove, Chicago, USA
24th September 2009
Myself, the barman and two guys who happened to be at the bar at the same time. One was on the phone to his girlfriend most of the time, the other guy was watching the football match on T.V. as was I.
I took it upon myself to inform the Barkeep of the seriousness of the occasion. I think he was suitably impressed.”

John Mulkeen, at the all important 17:59

There’s more coming, stay tuned!

Guinness TV-Out of darkness comes football.

The best (non-Guinness) beer advertisment.

I remember as a child, seeing this ad.

It’s a television advertisment for Carling Black Label larger.

I tried to explain it to friends since then, and they all thought I was mad, making up 1980s beer advertisments.

Here is the proof:

The way Guinness should be shared

Words are not needed. I am not sure about the shaking, but definately the best way to share a Guinness.

Enjoy!
